2008 Annual Conference Series
I was just sitting here thinking about how God is going to take the 12th District to another level. And He has shown me that this move to our new level will begin with and through our Annual Conferences. I am so excited with expectation and new possibilities. I expect God to do a new thing in our district. I believe that this is the season for new beginnings for our Church and I want you to walk into this season with me. I invite you to share with me what you see and need God to do in your Annual Conference.

Bishop,
There is truly a spiritual renewal on the horizon. As we embark upon this series of Annual Conferences, I pray that we simply “Let go and Let God”. Let the Holy Spirit melt, mold, fill, and use us. Let the Spirit of Lord create in us a mindset that would put Him first. We as Ministers and Lay of the 12th have all the “Tools” and “Gifts” that is needed for the work in the “vineyard”. It is all in His hands. May God Bless you, your family and the 12th.

I just wanted to take a brief moment and say that my heart feels the joy of the 12th District on the rise. I am just “happy glad” to have Bishop and Dr. Ava Green as our Episcopal leaders. The Lord is really working some things in my singing ministry and in my spirirtual walk in general. When I spend my idle time thinking about the goodness of the Lord instead of filling it with junk, my day goes better and I feel better about myself. Whew!! The 12th is about to take off, and anyone who doesn’t catch this train ride, has to wait for another opportunity. Welcome Bishop and Dr. Ava Green and family.

Bishop,
The closing service of the Oklahoma Annual Conference was so spirit filled that I found myself asking others and myself…..is this Annual Conference? I am so excited that the Lord has deemed it the “right time” to have you and Dr. Ava Green as our Episcopal leaders. I have no doubt that the 12th is about to embark upon a spiritual journey we’ve never been on before. I am praying that the Lord will continue to bless and strengthen you; to give you wisdom and courage; vision and direction. God bless you and your family. Welcome to the 12th Episcopal District!

Bishop Green,

Bishop Green,
It was a pleasure to have you in Oklahoma and I thoroughly enjoyed the annual conference including your closing sermon. Also, I enjoyed our talk and look forward to working with the district to restore the class leader concept and continuing working at my local church Vernon.
As I was reading my inspirational thoughts from God’s Minute, I thought about our annual conference and how I have been on a “hunt” to make a difference for the Lord. During the annual conference I became real inspired by the opportunities we all will have to make a difference for the Lord as we go to the next level. I want to share my inspirational thoughts for today since I believe it was spirit led to think about these thoughts in conjunction with the annual conference. God Will Bless All of US as we Trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not lean to our own understanding and in ALL ways acknowlege him. Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God! For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has a positive answer for it. Thanks Again Bishop and I am willing to go to the next level.

THE 12TH DISTRICT PLANNING MEETING WAS “OFF THE CHAIN” FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END. IN THE WORDS OF DERRICK HUTCHINS, “SAY A WORD SIR.”
